SD40 C&O 7551

Chesapeake & Ohio owned 63 SD40's. The first 20 were
numbered 7450-7469 and ordered in the blue with yellow ends paint
scheme that was used from 1959-1966. The last 43 were numbered
7475-7481 and 7501-7536 and had blue ends instead of yellow (KUIDs
45588:244 and 45588:245). Eventually, all 7400-series were renumbered 100 higher to place all
SD40's in the 7500-series. I used the new EMD 16-645E sound file
available on the DS, KUID 104722:53467. Auran's SD40 sound is
KUID -1:42003000. Created from photos.
