RS3 Lackawaxen & Stourbridge

Lackawaxen & Stourbridge was a small Pennsylvania shortline owned by Delaware & Otsego. They operated an ex-Reading RS3 and an ex-BAR BL2 for excursions.
In the January 1988 issue of Model Railroader, this unit was shown painted 'black and aluminum', with the trucks painted aluminum, too.
Old KUID's for enginespec was 52779:9001.

This is the Alco RS3 Road Switcher. The RS3
is powered by the 12 cylinder 244 prime mover
giving 1600 Horse Power. The RS3 was produced
by Alco during the years 1950 to 1956. This
is the second most popular Alco engine
produced with 1,418 units made during the
production run.

Modeled for use in TrainZ by Mark Hoffman.
