NZ 3'6" incline Rail
The rail used in New Zealand on the Rimutaka incline which was 1 in 15 gradiant. Rail was gripped by special wheels mounted under the loco to help climb the gradient and also used to brake coming down by both the loco and specially designed brake vans.
