7.00 AM. Roma Street station staff are preparing for the morning peak period, Platforms 4 & 5 have passengers boarding for the outbound journey ,while at their respective destinations of Wynnum and Kuraby the early birds are chatting to fellow passengers as they settle down in their seats for the trip to work in the City.

The XPT has just arrived at the southern approach to Acacia Ridge and is waiting for track clearance to enter the Suburban network on it's way to Roma Street.and running late will only have a short turnaround time before returning to Sydney via the Portal.

Kenny is driving QR Diesel 1720 with a rake of flat tops to the 40'container terminal for loading before finishing his shift.Now here is your chance to drive it to the Port of Brisbane and unload at the Port 40'Cont Terminal.You have two routes to choose from # 1 is via the Dual Gauge line but you must clear the line at Dutton Park by 7.35Am. as the XPT has priority on it's return to Acacia Ridge.
# 2 is via the suburban network and you must be aware of the commuter services and their skedule times;delaying them will cause disruption to the peak hour services.
