PC Class E40 (ex-NH EP-5)

Rectifier electric locomotive built by General Electric for the New Haven, 1954-1955. 11,000 volts AC or 600 volts DC, 4000 hp at continuous rating. Ten built, road numbers 370-379, surviving units passed to Penn Central as 4971 and 4973-4977.
