RC RGS Railway - Vance Junction Coal automatic coal chute

Scratch built, very detailed model of the Burnett and Clifton eight-pocket, automatic coal chute located at Vance Junction, on the Rio Grande Southern railway. Model is based on existing photos from narrowgauge.org, and the RGS archives at Friends of the Cumbres and Toltec scenic railroad website at ngtrainpics.photoshelter.com. I have omitted some loading side detail, like the safety mirrors, counter-weights and chute door auto-hinge mechanisms. Door pins, pull ropes and pegs are modeled in. All visible structural timber, and coal in the bins are modeled in as well
