GSR C5 No.269

In 1925 all of the railways of the Republic of Ireland(except the Great Northern Railway) became one network called the Great Southern Railways. Formely a Waterford, Limerick and Western Railway Engine No.16 was renumbered No.269 when absorbed by the Great Southern and Western Railway in 1899. While on the GSR 269 worked on the south Cork railways. Built by Kitson & Co in Leeds in 1896. A re-skin of Kirk Ronan's LMS Ex- LNWR Precursor Tank 4-4-2T
