GSWR No.279

Originally a 0-4-2 tender Engine built by the Avonside Engine Company in Bristol in 1876 but was then rebuilt as a 0-4-4T Tank Engine in 1899 at the Waterford, Limerick and Western Railway Works in Limerick. But the WL&WR was then taken over by the GS&WR in 1901. This livery was given this livery in 1904. These engines proved very useful on the newly built Rosslare line due to their mobility between local Waterford-Wexford South-Rosslare Harbour services and also meant that a turntable wasn't required at Wexford South Station. This Model was Created by Paul Hobbs, all rights deserved.
