Acer platanoides, Eng. Norway Maple, Finn. [metsä]vaahtera.
The Norway Maple shares many of the characteristics of the [Small-leaved] Lime: both
have Finland as the northernmost limit of their range and both suffer from intensive
forest management practices. Consequently, large trees are rare and almost always planted.
Lime also shares Maple's popularity as a streetside tree and is frequent in private gardens
and parks.
