02 - Tourist Train Winter

Every year, during the winter season, the model train club at Pear Town hosts an event themed around The Polar Express. This event usually gets more railfans gathering together than any other time of the year. On the tourist train, hot chocolate is always served around this time, with a specialized dance based around the hot chocolate scene from the 2004 movie performed by the diner car employees in the diner car. Railfans also get to marvel at the wonder of the snow as they travel through places covered in snow.

This is the sister session to Tourist Train Summer, both serving as an introduction to the route. Here, we are operating the last trip of the day, bringing the railfans who attended the model train club back to Hildemore City so they can relax and celebrate Christmas with their families. Normally, the tourist train is operated with an ex-ATSF E8A. Today, we are using an ex-BN GP9 as the E8A is undergoing routine maintenance at Hildemore City.
