DSEPR03 HS1 London to Lille V6.1

Version 6.1 Note: replaced a single scenic item with a different one. No other changes.

Version 6 Note: (versions 4 and 5 unreleased) The main features of this 2022 update are full rebuilds of Lille Europe and Calais Frethun high speed stations to better reflect reality, along with a general overhaul of the Eurotunnel terminals and surroundings. Also added are some new AI schedules to the associated sessions that operate Eurotunnel Shuttle trains. Secondary improvements are so numerous that I will list them in the Forum thread dedicated to this route rather than add them here. Updates to the three sessions associated with this route should also be on the DLS. A DLS search under the name DSEPR03 will show the related sessions. This route was constructed in Trainz version 105476. See below for much more route detail.

Version 3 Note: This version was constructed to eliminate the cause of a CTD that some users reported experiencing at a certain location on the route. Other minor improvements have also been made. Refer to the Forum thread dedicated to this route for detailed information. Enjoy.....

SIMPLE ROUTE DESCRIPTION
This route models both High Speed One and regular network trackage between Wembley Yards in west London all the way to Lille in France, along with certain branchlines. Two sections of HS1 are shared by fast and slow trains, because HS1 was originally designed to accept freight trains as well as fast movers. These occur at the HS1 crossing beneath the Thames River near Ebbsfleet and the Channel Tunnel that links France and Britain. Read the following section for more route detail.
This route has been 18 years in the making, and bits of it represent my first routebuilding efforts with Trainz2004. But it has evolved and grown continuously since. The British side was built with DEM terrain using the old Hand Of God program, but the French side has terrain undulation built by hand before I had access to HOG. It still looks fairly good as that part of France is quite flat anyway.
I rate this route at 95 percent prototypical because I added a handful of fairly big industries to generate traffic, and modified the trackage layout in Maidstone Kent to combine the lines through Strood and Lenham into one route to keep freight trains close to HS1.
Three basic setup sessions should be available on the DLS, all listed under the search term DSEPR03.
