SP PS Bi-level Commuter

Delivered to the Southern Pacific by Pullman Standard in 1968, cars #3731 - 3745 would be the last of 3 batches of bi-level commuter cars that SP would purchase. Destined for the San Francisco - San Jose commute, these cars were capable of seating 164 passengers each. They're easily identified from the prior cars by their stainless steel doors and green tinted windows. These came from the factory in the solid dark lark grey paint scheme, and continued to serve until the advent of CalTrain's.
