Hercules LC-130 USAF NYAG Startup (1999+)

A USAF New York Air Guard LC-130 Hercules in post 1999 livery. It operates on invisible track and will load general goods or passengers at a suitable landing area. The aircraft had a top speed of 210 mph (336 kph) and an all up weight of 26332 kg.

It has operating snow landing skis and jet assisted takeoff, using track triggers,
The aircraft tilts and banks realistically. It does not have an operating interior, but does have various exterior views based on an invisible interior, use the [ and ] keys from the interior view. The landing gear retracts at takeoff speed set in the string table (180kph). It lowers at speeds below this value. The speeds for tilting and landing gear retraction on takeoff may be altered in the string table - speeds are in kph. Times are in seconds.

The aircraft has a number of animations that can be operated by keyboard keys, or the Aircraft Action Trigger, kuid:76656:24050, when placed on track and set to the correct number:

- to start engines, press the B key or use trigger setting 2. An engine start rule is also available for AI.
- flare for landing, V key, or trigger setting 3.
- cargo door are opened with the H key.
- issue smoke and sound from the tyres when landing on tyres, use trigger setting 4. It will issue snow spray for 30 seconds for taking off or landing using the same trigger if the skis are down, time changeable in the string table (seconds).
- the flaps operate automatically at speeds below 260 kph, changeable in the string table.
- show JATO afterburner for 12 seconds, trigger setting 8, speed changeable in the string table.
- come to a gradual stop on landing, trigger setting 9.
- set speed to 40% of maximum speed, for landing approach, trigger setting 14.
- lower or raise snow landing skis, trigger setting 15.
Note: Shadow models are required but cannot be animated to follow aircraft animation. If you do not like the shadow showing on the body of the aircraft, in the config call up the shadow_inv.im file which is an invisible shadow.
