Bascule Bridge Penne

A single rail track and road Bascule Lift span bridge. It is a model of the German bridge in the Wolgast Peenestrom area. The original bridge opens for 15 minutes four times a day for shipp traffic.

You will find it as Bascule Bridge Penne in the German listing.

The bridge is a mocrossing object and the height is adjusted using the height adjustment tool. Road splines will connect to the bridge. DO NOT connect train track to the bridge attachment points, this would make the bridge open when the train approaches.

Instead, place invisible track near the bridge, the full length of the bridge, make the height the same as the track bridge attachment points. Join rail track to the invisible track. Move the track attachment points over the bridge and align the track at the ends of the bridge to the same position as the track attachment points on the bridge abutments. Make sure all the track is straight, or the invisible track will bend sideways across the bridge.

Use invisible track for shipping.

A known problem is the road traffic does not stop when the bridge opens.
