KC-135R Tanker Aircraft USAF startup

A KC-135 Tanker aircraft of the USAF, startup model, larger engines than the standard 135. It operates on invisible track and will load passengers and general goods at a suitable landing area. The aircraft has an automatically operating landing gear. This retracts at takeoff speed set in the string table above. It lowers at speeds below this value. The speeds for tilting, landing, flap retraction and gear retraction on takeoff may be altered in the string table above - speeds are in kph. Landing value is a fraction of the full speed.

It does not have an operating interior, but does have various exterior views based on an invisible interior, use the [ and ] keys from the interior view. The aircraft will load and unload passengers at suitable airports.

The aircraft has a number of animations that can be operated by keyboard keys, or the Aircraft Action Trigger, kuid2:76656:24060:1, when placed on track and set to the correct number:

- to start engines, press the B key or use trigger setting 2. An engine start rule is also available for AI.
- flare for landing, V key, or trigger 7.
- deploy refueling probe and lift aircraft, H key, or setting 10
- issue smoke and sound from the tyres when landing, use trigger setting 4.
- the flaps operate automatically at speeds changeable in the string table above.
- come to a gradual stop on landing, trigger setting 9.
- use reverse thrust on engines for 10 seconds trigger setting 13.
- set speed to 40% of maximum speed, for landing approach, trigger setting 14.

The aircraft deploys a refueling probe to couple with the FA-18 fighters for simulated refueling. The KC-135 operates on the same track as the other aircraft. Using the H key or Action Trigger setting 10, the tanker lifts above the track by 7 metres and deploys the probe.

The FA-18 approaching from the rear couples with the probe with its own refueling probe. A second trigger further along the track retracts the tanker probe, and lowers the KC-135 back to track level. After you decouple the FA-18, the aircraft operate separately again. If you use the H key when the aircraft are coupled, the FA-18 fires missiles, it may shoot down the tanker - use the track trigger at setting 10 for best operation.
