Locomotive has universal using, her determination is traction fast trains
and personal and goods trains.E499.0 was first postwar Czechoslovak
locomotive for track CSD with tension 3KV DC and become basis for
future development Czechoslovak locomotives.Series E 499.0 was pattern in Swiss
locomotive series Ae 4/4 (BLS).On locomotives E 499.0 were using license
elements from firm SLM Winterthur and SAAS Genéve.Prototype locomotive was on
test track producer in Pilsen, at that time under the name ZVIL, n.p.
(Vladimir Iljič Lenin Works, national company) reappeared in spring 1953.
Prototype E499.001 was running-in on trial track in Doudlevce and deputies CSD
was assumed of the day 29.6.1953 .
