Origonaly NYo&W Pullman 14BR

Pullman heavyweight cars of the 1920's were to replace the old wood cars. They were built from 1910 to 1931 by the Pullman-Standard Mfg. Co. This one is a 14 bedroom from 1927, plan 3980, they were used only on overnight trains. Only 10 made uses on New Haven and Pennsylvania.

History: This car was built in Germany in 1924 as a gift for the president of USA. The car was bought in 1936 by ECR and fitted with better air conditioning. The car was re-built in 1946 after being hit by landslide. It has since seen only paintjob modifications.
