This is a detailed '3D' map of the island of Kauai, the Hawaiian island where such films as The Lost World, Jurassic Park and one of those pathetic Elvis Presley movies were shot. It's provided to the Auran Trainz Download Station in two halves, Kauai EAST and KAUAI WEST. The KUIDs for these are; 68213 : 100002 and 68213 : 100003 respectively. Get both, load one in Trainz Surveyor, then 'merge' the other half to create the whole map. Be prepared to do some minor landscape repair work - the merge process can produce narrow artificial trenches or ridges along the north-south join. Use the 'plateau' tool in Surveyor to smooth those out. ******** The maps provided contain no added rail or 'invisible' tracks, that's up to you to add as you wish. If you want to compare the map with the real thing, I recommend the MAPS to be found at this site;
