Trinity Bay Industrial - Model Trainz Layout

Minor update - the original track has been replaced with a more frame rate friendly track for better and smoother gameplay.

Version 2. This is a revised version of the original Trinity Bay model railroad. The revisions include procedural track, re-texturing and additional details.

The layout is for TANE. All the required dependencies for the layout are either built-in or from the Download Station. Please use Manage Content to make sure that all the dependencies have been captured.

Trinity Bay Industrial is a fictitious smoke-stack-USA model railroad on two levels. There are numerous industries on both the lower and upper levels. The two levels are linked by spirals. Some of the industries are interdependent. For example, the pasta factory requires packing cases to ship out the pasta. The packing case factory requires lumber. The lumber factory requires logs. The logs go from port to the lumber mill where they are made into lumber which is then made into into packing cases which go to the pasta factory, which then ships out the pasta product at the Teamsters terminal on the upper level. So despite the small size of the layout there is much activity.

In addition, a Class 1 railroad drops off and picks up freight cars on the Transfer Track. There is also a small locomotive depot and a MoW yard. Lighting is provided for night time operations.

One of the features, which is primarily intended to add interest to the operations and make it more of a challenge, is the provision for AI trainz to transit the layout. In many places the AI and Player trains share a common single track. Signal Link equipment has been placed on the layout and when correctly configured Signal Link allows the Player to assume control of the single track sections. The track with concrete sleepers is for the exclusive use of the AI trainz.
