TRS19 - The Rivercide Electric Railroad Co
Updated, Version 2. This version will obsolete the original version.
This version adds a coal mine and logging camp to the southern end of the route, and power station and industrial complex to the northern end. There are additional baseboards at each end of the route for those who want to run through consists. Major glitches have been corrected and minor changes have been made.
The Rivercide Electric Railroad. This route is for TRS19. All the required dependencies are on the Download Station, but do use Manage Content to check that all dependencies have been captured.
The route uses the new TRS19 track, all the textures are the new 3D PBR textures, most of the terrain is covered by TurfFX grasses and SpeedTrees are used.
The Rivercide Electric Railroad was originally constructed as a short-line local railroad transporting grain, livestock and other agricultural products between the towns located along the river. It was electrified in the 1920s to transport coal from the mines at Southcide to the power station at Northcide. A Class 1 railroad runs roughly parallel to the Rivercide track and the two railroads share a common track at several squeeze points.
The mainline track without the overhead catenary, representing the Class 1 railroad company track, is for use by AI trainz.
The industries in the six yards (from north to south the yards are Northcide, Baycide, Deecide, Beecide, Rivercide and Southcide) are identified by Track Marks, with the prefix IND.
Known issues:
1. Electrified catenary cannot be used under cranes, hoists, gantries, loaders, ... . Operation of electric locomotives is therefore restricted to line haul and some of the yard areas. The final delivery of freight cars is by steam of diesel locomotive workings.
2. When initially entering a session the TurfFX grasses are not always visible. When this happens, go into the 4-key external camera view and skim up and down the route before returning to the 2-key locomotive view. This will always brings back the grasses.
