The Wattz & Voltz Railroad

This is a Model Trainz layout. It is for TRS22 or better.

The Wattz & Voltz began as an interurban railroad where, over the years, freight became the primary traffic, with an occasional passenger service. But time passes. Steam and then diesel locomotives slowly supersede the electric locomotives and the electric power cars. The overhead wires fall into disrepair and are eventually removed. 'The Wattz & Voltz Interurban Railroad' faces bankruptcy, is taken over by another company, and renamed simply 'The Wattz & Voltz Railroad'.

The railroad continues to link the towns of Wattz, Ohmz, Ampz and Voltz. There is on-street running at all four towns. Up on the Hertz Plateau is a log camp, dry sort yard and saw mill. Wattz still has a thriving industrial area, an interchange with a Class 1 railroad and a railroad barge ferry.

Freight movements include boxcar deliveries to the numerous factories and warehouses, log movements to the saw mill and the wood chips mill, wood chips to a paper and printing factory, and the delivery of coal and gasoline.
