F&WVJR G class ''Galloping Alice'' - GER Blue
Number 16 was built by Beyer Peacock in 1897 for the Midland and South Western Junction Railway. It gained the nickname Galloping Alice because of its small driving wheels which would revolve at great speed. It was rebuilt by the GWR in 1924. (in fiction) after earlier No.14's trials were successful, the neighbouring Flockton & Westbridge Valley Railway ordered their own 2 engines, with 4 later orders of 38 engines built between 1897-1910. These G class engines would become the F&WVJR's Standard Goods locos and continued operation under BR until the end of steam.
Thanks to Paul Hobbs and Trainboi1 for there mesh components.
