VR Timber Trestle Bridge Kit Decking

This is the decking portion of a nine piece kit intended to create a wooden style Trestle Bridge as designed and built by the Ways and Works Branch of the Victorian railways from 1935. Configured as a 'spline', this part of the kit may be used to create a single 20 ft (7 meters) span or a multiple span bridge of any desirable length. However, because of the design constraints of the building material (wood), the resultant bridge must be built with the abutment and pier parts (as required by the location) as supplied in the kit.

Any track may be laid across this bridge but if a track spline that has an 'alpha' component is used, it is recommended to raise the track (or lower the bridge) so that the total width of the track spline fits neatly into the width of the Kerb Timbers.

Once installed, this piece can be found in the Objects Tab>Splines>Australia>Buildable section in Surveyor.

Many thanks to andi06 for his assistance in creating this model.
