Colac Butter Factory

This is a faithful replica of the former Colac Butter Factory, situated in the country town of Colac, Victoria, Australia. Although still extant, even though the factory no longer produces Dairy products (it has been subdivided and sub-let to various tenants for their own purposes), this model depicts the complex at a time when it was used solely for Dairy Produce. In an effort to make the model as versatile as possible, each of the three railway access tracks have been provided with a three-way 'multigauge' track comprised of the three gauges ever used in Victoria; 2 foot 6 inch Narrow Gauge, 4 foot 8.5 inch Standard Gauge and 5 foot 3 inch Broad Gauge, all set up with a single common rail. Although it is possible to provide access in all three gauges to all three roads, simultaneously, this is not recommended, as the ensueing yard trackwork would be almost incomprehensible (and I suspect, unworkable). However, trains approaching on all three gauges will operate the animation to open and close the gates on either of the three roads, irrespective of if they are of individual or mixed gauge. It has been left to the individual user to provide appropriate buffers (or rail ends) at the ends of the tracks inside the complex, according to the gauge in use, if it is intended for access to the tracks to be properly signalled in any way, although 'dificulties' may arise in this regard, where the gauges are mixed. Many thanks must go to fellow Trainzers dinorius_redundicus and drickets for their kind permission to use some proprietry textures. Further gratitude also goes out to dinorius-_redundicus for the many and varied 'derilict' assets of his creation, a number of which have been used to fill out a lot of otherwise empty space in this model. This model is intended for Trainz versions 2.9 and above.
