This is the CSX Saginaw Sub. This line runs from Carleton, Michigan to McGrew Yard in Flint, Michigan. The Saginaw Sub (Also known as the 'Michigan Funnel') also acesses to Detroit through the series of Wyes and interchanges in Plymouth. Although the customers and profits have downsized over the years seince the C&O and Chessie days; the Sub still provides many local services out of Plymouth, Wixom, and Flint. Many customers include New Boston Rail Service and Home Depot in Romulus/ New Boston; interchanging with the Michigan Air-Line Railway in Wixom; GM and Romulus Engine in Grand Blanc; and Lake State Railway in Flint where majority of the trains go to Saginaw/ Bay City. The Saginaw Sub also has a contract with BNSF for coal trains to Flint from the Powder River Basin in Wyoming. These coal trains are exchanged with LSRC in Flint where they go to a power plant up in Essexville. Flint is also known as a giant 'Storage Locker' for railcars so X-trains of any kind of cars are commonly seen. NOTE: Requires ALL scenary items at RRmods.com
