A four-axle tank car with a carrying capacity of 68 tons (model 15-1547) is designed for the transport of gasoline and other light petroleum products. According to climatic requirements, it is manufactured in type U of placement category 1 according to GOST 15150–69 *. The tank car consists of a boiler and a platform, including a frame, chassis, brake and coupler equipment. The tank car boiler has a cylindrical part welded from five longitudinal sheets: two upper ones 9 mm thick, two middle ones 10 mm thick and the lower 11 mm thick, and two elliptical bottoms 12 mm thick. In the upper part of the boiler there is a manhole with a diameter of 570 mm, hermetically sealed with a crossbar lid. Product loading - upper, through the manhole. In the neck of the manhole there is a drive of the main shutter of the drain device; an indicator of the maximum level of filling the boiler. A safety valve is installed near the manhole, adjusted to an excess of 0.147 MPa (1.5 'kgf / cm2) and a reduced pressure (vacuum) of 0.02 MPa (0.2 kgf / cm2). It is possible to force the valve to open.
