In early 1941, a young entrepreneur saw hope in two small towns with little life. Littered with resources and commodities untapped by others; Judith Robinson established the Red Maple Indistrual Railroad, named after the three Red Maple trees outside her third home. Since that first year, the amount of industry and life around the looping and turning trackage has exponentially grown.
Today (1976), the line is still rolling in profits as passenger services and freight services provide for the people of Mergerous, Reed, and Lariat . Freight being the main focus and profits of the RMI, several powerful series of locomotives are needed. GP40, GP35, and a handful of other units were purchased new and secondhand, as well as old horns such as nathan M5’s, P5’s, and M3’s.
