RULER - One Mile Flatcar Ruler
A string of flatcars exactly 5280 feet long. It's a great tool for installing accurate mileposts, and it even works around curves and on grades, which straight rulers cannot do. Place a milepost on your track, then paste the flatcars to line up with the milepost. Then, go to the other end of the flatcars and place your next milepost. Just keep pasting more flatcars and mileposts until you get to the end.
