NYC K-11 4-6-2 Classic

Classic series: Error-free in TRS19, converted to Trainzmesh, but not significantly upgraded from original 2010 release.

The K-11 hails from around 1910 to 1911. The design is somewhat similar to the earlier K-3 class, but with a notable distinction: K-11s had short, 69 inch drivers; this driver size was a perfect fit as the engines were intended to be used in both freight and passenger service. These machines found a niche, and were used in both freight and passenger service into the 1950s. I did not find any mention of any being sold to other (non-subsidiary) railroads, but considering how H-5 2-8-2s wandered, some K-11s probably were sold to second owners at some point. If not, there were similar engines in service on a few other roads.
