Highland Link

This route is a fictional line from Corrour on the West Highland Line across to Dalwhinnie on the Highland Main Line, hence the title Highland Link. It follows a route popular with walkers along the shore of Loch Ossian, over the pass through the Ben Alder range then drops down towards Loch Pattock before running alongside Loch Ericht into Dalwhinnie. Total distance is around 30 miles with several intermediate stations and crossing loops, at locations conjured out of my head.
A few compromises were necessary to deal with the difficult terrain, notably some Swiss style turnbacks and tunnels plus a ruling grade of 1 in 40 (2.5%).
Known issues:
Overall line speed is 40 MPH with lower permitted speed on many sections. On reflection this may have been a bit high so you are welcome to run at a slightly lower speed.
Tunnels - as always I struggle with these in Trainz, limited assets available and difficult to construct with no significant change in TANE over earlier versions.
The route was built in TS12 but ported over to TANE for release. So far as I can tell there are no faulty assets or anything which will prevent the route from running. If you get a message re missing textures these are probably Transdem which I tried to eliminate but for some reason still listed as a dependency. Don't worry, you don't need them.
