Deerstalker Diversion

Due to a landslip blocking the West Highland Line between Bridge of Orchy and Rannoch, trains are being diverted via the Highland Main Line and the Highland Link Line. You will use 37401, 'The Royal Scotsman', to take 'The Deerstalker' - train 1Y11, the Fort William Caledonian Sleeper, across the Highland Link Line. It will be arriving coupled to the rear of train 1S25, the Inverness Sleeper. You will pick it up at Dalwhinnie, then drive to Corrour. You are booked straight through, without any station stops, however you should expect to be held, probably at Bealach Dubh, to allow 1H41, a local service from Fort William to Inverness, to pass. Since the diversion has 'cut the corner' by avoiding Glasgow, there will be an extended station stop at Corrour to return to the timetable. All points will be controlled by the signallers.
